If Beale Street Could Talk: February 14, 2 pm at Moorestown Library

This adaptation of the James Baldwin novel is the follow-up by writer/director Barry Jenkins to his Academy Award winner MOONLIGHT.  Childhood friends and devoted lovers Tish and Fonny find the strength to survive Fonny's wrongful imprisonment as their families are tested by the news of Tish's pregnancy.  Combining a lyrical romance with an impassioned portrayal of injustice, the film features a varied cast of great actors, including Regina King who won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress last year.
