In a film faithful to William Faulkner’s novel, an unjustly accused man (legendary actor Juano Hernandez) waits in jail while two teenagers and an elderly lady, his only allies, can find the real murdeerr before the mob in town can organize a lynching.  Shot on location in Oxford, Mississippi. Directed by Clarence Brown.
